Willie Hemingway, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on April 17, 2024, in Houston, Texas. He was born on March 1, 1960, to Joseph and Cleotha Hemingway.

Willie was married to Catherine Willis in the year 8, and together they raised three children: Demitrus Elder ( Kilmichael, Ms) Chris Hemingway( Grenada ,Ms) , and Jeremiah Hemingway(Grenada,Ms). They were also blessed with six grandchildren.

Willie attended Winona High School, where he graduated in 1979. After graduation, Willie began working at Winona High School, where he dedicated his career to education until his retirement in 2018.

Aside from his dedication to his family and career, Willie had a passion for sitting on his porch and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. He was known for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family.

Willie Hemingway will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
