Sheryl was born on February 17, 1950, to loving parents Ezell and Emma Chase who preceded her in death and she lived a life filled with love, compassion, and joy.

Throughout her life, Sheryl was an exceptional individual who made a positive impact on the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her. Her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine kindness touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

A native of Anniston, Sheryl grew up in a close-knit community, fostering lifelong friendships with neighbors and classmates. She attended Anniston High School, where she excelled academically while actively participating in various extracurricular activities. Sheryl's love for learning continued as she pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Alabama.

With a true passion for teaching and nurturing young minds, Sheryl embarked on a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher. For over three decades, she dedicated her time and energy to shaping the lives of countless children, leaving an indelible mark on each student she encountered. Sheryl's unwavering dedication to education went beyond the classroom walls, as she continuously sought innovative ways to inspire and motivate her students.

Family was an integral part of Sheryl's life, and she cherished her role as a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. She had an unbreakable bond with her parents, constantly showering them with love, care, and support.

In 1986, Sheryl married the love of her life, Lee Turner, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. Their love was an inspiration to all who knew them, a shining example of a true partnership based on mutual respect and unwavering commitment. Their home was always open to family and friends, with Sheryl's warm hospitality and delicious home-cooked meals creating a cozy and welcoming environment.

Sheryl's most cherished role in life was that of a mother to her two children, Shelina and Malcom and her stepdaughter, Leslie. She poured her heart and soul into raising them, imparting values of kindness, empathy, and perseverance. Sheryl's unwavering love and support were evident in every aspect of her children's lives, as she lovingly cheered them on through their accomplishments, and offered comfort and encouragement during challenging times.

As a grandmother, Sheryl found immeasurable joy in the company of her four grandchildren Devon, Skyler, Jada and Taylor. She cherished every moment spent with them, whether it was reading stories, baking cookies, or simply sharing laughter and creating lifelong memories. Her love will forever endure in their hearts.

Sheryl's impact extended far beyond her professional and personal life. She actively engaged in community service, volunteering her time and expertise to various charitable organizations. In honor of Sheryl's memory, a memorial service will be held on November 3, 2023, at St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church in Lincoln, Alabama. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of Sheryl Turner.
