Robert Joseph Treat 1929 - 2016MESA, AZ - Robert Joseph Treat, 86, of Mesa, AZ passed away on October 22, 2016. He was born on December 21, 1929 in Springfield, IL. Bob was a man of many experiences and he started early by enlisting in WWII at the age of 15. He was a self-educated, resourceful, hardworking man and it seems there wasn't anything that he couldn't do. From running the Film Patrol at Aqueduct Race Track in NY to designing and building homes in Phoenix, he was successful in his endeavors. Bob had many interests including flying airplanes, driving race cars, photography, cooking, boating, design and construction and in some way he managed to touch each and every one of these things in his lifetime. BUT, his number one interest, his main squeeze, his dance partner, his co-captain, the love of his life was his wife of 65 years, June. You can't say Bob without saying June and together they built a happy, successful life with many adventures along the way. Bob is survived by his wife June, along with his children; Lynn (Judy) Treat, Connie (John) Lytle, Cindy (Larry) Collins, Candy (Kenny) Cottle, Cristy (Mark) Mancuso, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and three sisters; Sherry, Barbie and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny. Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, Oct 28th at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ.
