In Loving Memory of Joanna Marie Finley
November 15, 1950 – October 12, 2026
With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished family member, Joanna Marie Finley, who departed this life on October 12, 2026, at the age of 75.
Born on November 15, 1950, Joanna lived a life that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She was a woman whose memory will continue to live on through her family, the moments they shared, and the love that will never fade.
Joanna found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed planting and watching her favorite Chicago sports teams, the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Bulls. These interests were a part of who she was and will remain among the many memories her loved ones carry with them.
Above all, Joanna leaves behind a family who will continue to cherish her memory. She is survived by her four children: Curtis Finley, Tamika Finley, Robert Finley, and Zion Finley; and her six grandchildren: Lisa Finley, Xavier Finley, Lynesha Finley, Ashley Finley, Derick Finley, and Patrick Finley. And a total number of 13 great grandchildren tha she loved dearly.
As a Christian, Joanna’s faith is an important part of the legacy remembered by those who loved her. Though her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, her family can find comfort in their faith, in the memories they hold dear, and in the love that continues to connect them.
While we mourn the loss of Joanna’s presence, we also give thanks for the life she lived and the memories she leaves behind. Her time on earth has come to an end, but the place she holds in the hearts of her children and grandchildren will remain forever.
Rest peacefully, Joanna Marie Finley.
You will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. Your family will carry your memory forward, today, tomorrow, and for generations to come. Until we meet again, may you rest in God’s eternal peace.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
