Peggy Sue Clerks , 72, passed away on March 09, 2023. She was born to Leroy and Paula Anne Bradley in Fredericksburg, Virginia on May 04, 1950.

She married Ronnie Clerks in 1970 and they lived together in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Together they raised 2 children Rhoda, Tammy Thamo (Gerald ). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren Ryan and Erin Clerks, and Charmaine and Lucas Thamo.

Peggy Sue was a school teacher for 27 years. She loved going to Myrtle Beach, and Disney World. She believed in magic and mermaids, often telling her grandchildren she used to know a mermaid named Serena. She was also a prankster, and a good cook. No one left Miss Peggy Sue’s home hungry. Everything she made was homemade. She even opened a little shop on Main Street in Fredericksburg selling muffins, cakes, brownies, and pies. She called it Peggy’s Magic Sweetness. However she had to shut down during the pandemic.

Her grandchildren were her world and she always spoiled them. She loved everyone she ever came in contact with and she never met a stranger.

A visitation will be held Thursday March 16, 2023 from 6pm - 9pm. A funeral service will follow the next day at 11am. Both taking place at Preston and Sons of Manassas. Interment will follow to Oak Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg. A reception will follow at 2pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel of Fredericksburg.

Preston and Sons Funeral Home of Manassas is serving the family. Arrangements are being held through Funeral Director Jennifer Preston.
