In Loving Memory of Myrtle "Tini" Major
Myrtle Major, 68, passed on February 15, 2022. She was born to Booker T Major and Jessie Mae Major on January 22, 1954 in Coriscana Texas. She was the eldest girl of nine children. Eventually the family moved Houston's 5th ward and Kashmere Garden area where she grew up.
She move to the Acres Home area and begin studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. On February 4, 2004, she dedicated her life to Jehovah by water baptism. Even before her dedication, Sis Major showed a love and zeal towards Jehovah's organization by particpating, along with her children Martina and Willie, in the building of the Rosenberg Assembly Hall. The field ministry was a major part of her life. Her love for Jehovah and for her neighbors (Matthew 22:39), movtivated her to become a regular Auxillary Pioneer. Her granddaughter, Jessica, even stated how much she loved the fact that no matter what her grandmother's conditions were; she never stopped serving Jehovah. The last time Jessica was at her grandmother's house, Sis Major was talking about Jehovah in her sleep!!! What a fine example of loyalty to Jehovah she set for her family.
