LYLE N. KUHLEMEYER, 68 SHANNON - Lyle N. Kuhlemeyer, 68, of Shannon, died Wednesday June 26, 2013, in his home. Lyle was born on March 31, 1945, in Freeport, the son of Nelson and Dorcas (Edwards) Kuhlemeyer. On September 3, 1967, Lyle married Susan Kay Davis in Decatur. Lyle worked for the Freeport Police Department and then drove a school bus for District 145 for 18 years. He served in the Vietnam War for the U.S. Air Force. Lyle was member of the Cedarville Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Susan Kuhlemeyer; son, Bradley Allen (Theresa) Kuhlemeyer; two daughters, Lesli Dawn (Leonard) Saunders and Lori Lynn Kuhlemeyer; two sisters, April (Roger) Friedrich and Nancy (George) Goldsworth. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Taia, Caleb, Kaci, Shawna and Christian. Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren, Lexus Jackson and Jacob Kuhlemeyer; and one sister, Dianne Runte. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, at Cedarville Baptist Church. Pastor Gene McIntosh will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of service the day of funeral.
