Lamar Collins, lovingly known as "Chef Lamar", passed away on July 25, 2025 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 54. He was born on July 7, 1971 to Lamar Collins Sr. and Betty Jean Collins.

Lamar is survived by his daughter Lamaya Collins, who he shared his passion for cooking with. He was a dedicated member of the Cooking organization and loved sharing his culinary expertise with others.

When Lamar wasn't cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you could often find him listening to music and enjoying life to the fullest. His infectious laughter and positive outlook on life will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Although he left us too soon due to a sudden heart attack, we take comfort in knowing that Lamar is now cooking up a feast in heaven. Rest in peace, Chef Lamar, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
