Jesse James Romine, 79, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Novant Health Systems UVA Culpeper Hospital. He was born March 22, 1944 in Prince William County, VA to the late Carroll Lee and Mary Marie Romine. 

Jesse was a die-hard Redskins fan. He loved to watch all sports. He loved playing horseshoes, going to the track, and fishing. Jesse enjoyed spending time with his family and playing with his grandkids. He played more lottery tickets than we can count. Jesse loved J.C. (Jesus Christ) and attending church. 

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Elaine Romine; five children, Ronda Martin (Steve), Cheryl "Sherry" Romine, Jessica DiMaio, Jay Romine (Clara), and James Romine; seven grandchildren, Brian Romine (Marlys), Christen Crim (Zach), Summer Gardner, Hunter DiMaio, Laelah King, Hailee Romine, and Ayden Romine; five great-grandchildren, Ariana, Sutton, Nova, Harper, and Zachary; four siblings, Viola Hensley (Kenny), Eva Brummett, Beanie Mullins and Lydia Plant (Rick); numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Stanley Martin. 

In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by three brothers; Clyde Wampler, Clarence Wampler, and Harold Wampler, and three sisters; Maude Cornwell, Edith Carey, and Virginia Cornwell. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Evangelist Dorothy Miller officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. 

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made towards the funeral expenses directly to Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
