Jamil Lampkin, a beloved member of the Orlando, Florida community, passed away on October 7, 2023. He was born on July 1, 1987, and his untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Jamil was a kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many throughout his short but impactful 36 years of life. He possessed a genuine and infectious smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. His warm and compassionate nature was a constant source of comfort and support to those around him, and he went above and beyond to help anyone in need.

Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, Jamil excelled in his professional life. He pursued his passion for technology and became a highly respected software engineer, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. His immense talent and creativity were reflected in every project he tackled. Colleagues often sought his guidance and admired his unwavering commitment to perfection.

Jamil had a deep appreciation for culture and art. He frequently attended concerts, theater performances, and art exhibitions, finding solace and inspiration in these creative expressions. He was an avid reader, always expanding his knowledge through literature and sharing his favorite books with friends and family. His love for music was evident in his collection of vinyl records, which he cherished and played during gatherings with loved ones.

Family was of utmost importance to Jamil. He was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a doting uncle. His infectious laughter filled the room during family gatherings, creating lifelong memories that will be treasured by all. He had a remarkable ability to connect with people of all ages, making him a favorite among his younger relatives who often sought his advice or simply enjoyed his company.

Despite his many accomplishments, Jamil remained humble and grounded. He was always ready to lend a listening ear or offer a helping hand. His selflessness and empathy extended beyond his immediate circle, as he frequently volunteered his time and resources to charitable organizations focused on education and empowerment.

Jamil will be greatly missed by his parents, John and Sarah Lampkin, his siblings, Emily and Marcus, his nieces and nephews, his extended family, and the countless friends and colleagues whose lives he impacted. His legacy will live on in the memories and hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service will be held on December 27, 2019 , at 2:00 p.m. at the Orlando Memorial Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Jamil Lampkin Memorial Fund, which will support causes close to his heart.
