Jack Melton Hennigan, Sr., 77, of Merryville, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2016 in a local care facility.He was born on February 2, 1939 in Jasper, Texas.Mr. Hennigan was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Dick Hennigan; father, Nathan Hennigan; beloved wife, Florence Barthol Hennigan; brother, James Hennigan of Merryville, and sister, Helen Harvey of Jasper.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marie Bailey Hennigan of DeRidder; his children, Jack "Jay" Hennigan, Trina Campbell, Gaylene Salgado, Lisa Moore, all of Merryville, Tina Cooley of Lafayette and Kyle Hennigan of Dallas, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wayne Hennigan of Merryville, Alice Boykin of Jasper and Willie Morgan of Magnolia Springs, Texas.Visitation was held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Myers Colonial Funeral Home. Burial followed in Cannon Cemetery in Merryville. The Rev. Donnis Ashworth officiated.Services were under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder.Words of comfort may be shared at myers-colonialfuneralhome.com
