A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Dora Mae Ross will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2022, at West Union Missionary Baptist Church, where she held membership. She peacefully passed away on November 18, 2022, in a local hospital. A 1968 graduate of New Stanton Senior High School, and an alumna of Bethune-Cookman University, Mrs. Ross was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, NAACP, and National Council of Negro Women. She was an administrator employed by the State of Florida until retiring after 35 years of dedicated service. Her parents Mr. Leroy Kelly and Mrs. Isabelle Atkinson Kelly preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Nathanial Ross, daughter, Ashley Powell; son, Ashton Powell; Brother Frederick Ross; grandchildren, Erica Anders, Regina Cooper, Samantha Powell, Sampson Powell; and a number of other relatives and friends. The visitation for Mrs. Ross will be held at the mortuary on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Intermittent will be in Evergreen Cemetary.
