Clifford Williams, a cherished resident of Houston, Texas, departed this world on January 22, 2024, at the age of 74. Born on November 01, 1949, Clifford's life was defined by his unwavering determination and compassionate nature. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness and generosity, touching the lives of all who knew him. With his infectious smile and gentle demeanor, Clifford brightened the hearts of those around him. Whether through his love for cooking, his passion for music, or his willingness to lend a helping hand, he embodied a spirit of selflessness and warmth. Clifford's presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
Clifford Wayne Williams was born in Freeport, TX on November 1, 1949. Cliff was born child number three to the late Brisco and Beaulah (Price) Williams.
Cliff as a child was a member and was baptized at the Eastern Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Cliff attended Lanier High School then later moved to Brazosport High School. During his senior year he moved to Los Angeles, CA where he graduated.
After graduating High school Cliff moved to Bay City, TX where he met the love of his life Effie Gibson. Cliff and Effie united in holy matrimony in the early 1970’s. In this union 4 sons were born. After marriage Cliff was drafted in the United States army where he served 3 years.
Cliff worked for many years at Southwestern Bell. When Cliff retired Southwestern Bell had become AT&T. Cliff loved music, hunting, fishing, and hanging out with family and friends until his health started to fail.
Cliff is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Effie Williams, Parents Brisco and Beaulah Price, Siblings Loretta Freelon and Robert Harrison.
Cliff leaves to cherish his memories his sister Mary Hall, Sons, Joe, Devin (Shonique), Troy and Marty, Grandkids Joe Jr, Troya, Keke, Brittany and Marquis Jr great-granddaughter Gigi and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
