TULIA -- Cindy Sue Carothers, 55, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016, in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Rusty Gray, pastor of Tulia Christian Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.A visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.Cindy was born on Feb. 8, 1961, in Tulia to Edwin and Shirley Stark. She grew up in Claytonville and graduated from Kress High School in 1979. She worked for K-Bob's in Tulia after high school. She then went to work for Continental Grain for 12 years when it changed to Atterbury Grain and continued working there for the last 18 years. She was active in 4-H as an adult leader when her boys were in high school. She married Tommy Carothers on March 8, 1986.She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Karen Helton and one brother, Chuck Helton.She is survived by her husband, Tommy Carothers of Tulia, two sons, Tanner Carothers and Eric Carothers, both of Tulia; and two sisters, Kathy Gorman of Cortez, Colo., and Sharon Helton of Amarillo.Memorials may be made to the Tulia 4-H or a .Online condolences may be made at www.kornerstonefunerals.com
