Charlotte A. JonesChesapeake - Charlotte Augusta Jones, 89, left this earth behind and went to her heavenly home ever to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 9, 2016.Charlotte was born on March 25, 1927, in Somerville, MA to William H. and Cora B. Crosby. She was the widow of Jesse B. Jones, her loving husband of 57 years. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Norma Dyer and Cora Webber and two brothers, William H. Crosby, Jr., and Kenneth B. Crosby.Charlotte loved to play the piano and was a talented artist. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and lavishing love on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Lord and all her brothers and sisters in Christ. She was always ready to share her faith with all who would listen.Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Patricia Baynor and her husband, John, of Chesapeake and Charlene Mister of Chesapeake; one sister, Lois B. Pietila of Quincy, MA; five grandchildren, Katie Baynor, Cassie Lawrence, Carly Baynor, Lori Allen, and Lonnie Mister; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Chesapeake Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care for Charlotte for the last two and a half years.The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel on Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Princess Anne Memorial Park by Rev.
