Charles Ronald Shurden, known affectionately as Ronnie, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023, at the age of 76 in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born on December 25, 1946, in Tupelo, Ronnie was a loving, kind, and dedicated individual who always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger.

Ronnie was a hardworking man who followed in his father's footsteps as a second-generation owner-operator of Shurden and Love Farm. He took great pride in his career and was known for his tireless work ethic. Ronnie's commitment to his profession was a testament to his character and dedication.

Outside of work, Ronnie had a variety of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed providing a rescue sanctuary for animals in need, growing crops for his family and friends, as well as hunting and fishing. Ronnie was a natural storyteller and loved sharing his tales with others. He also found joy in serving his church and spending quality time with his beloved family.

Ronnie will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy, his children Ron and Michael, his daughter-in-law Kimberly, and his grandchildren Conner and Ava. He was preceded in death by his father Charles, mother Mary Lewis, and brother David.

A visitation and reflection period will be held from 9:00 am to 10:30 am, followed by the casting of ashes and a toast to Ronnie's life at 12 noon at the old barn on Shurden & Turner Farm located at 111 Road 1350 Tupelo, MS 38801. Shuttle service will be available for convenience.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital, Children's of Alabama or Palmer Home For Children. These organizations held a special place in Ronnie's heart, and your support would honor his memory.
