Bertha Marie Johnson was born September 11, 1935, in San Antonio, TX, to James Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson. She attended Tynan Elementary, Emerson Middle School, Highlands High School, and graduated from St. Phillips Community College wit a BLANK in BLANK.

Bertha was a faithful member at Bethal AME Church where she directed the children's choir, taught Sunday School,  and coordinated many events. She also devoted a lot of her free time giving back to the community, or hosting family gatherings when away from work at BLANK. Bertha loved tending to her gardens, but getting very crafty while watching some of her favorite episodes of the Golden Girls, or Criminal Minds brought her so much joy.

Bertha Johnson was preceded in death by her parents James and Elizabeth Johnson, her brother Ricky Johnson, and sister MaryAnn Johnson. She leaves to celebrate her life a loving Daughter Karen Oliver, two sons Michael and Mitchell Johnson, Six grandchildren Dontay Johnson, Dezmond Johnson, Durelle Johnson, Dominique Johnson, and twins Monique and Michelle Oliver and a host of family and friends
