Anthony L. Rotunno, "Tony", age 94, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 29, 2016. He was born on March 4, 1922 to the late Nicholas and Rose Rotunno. He graduated from Austin High School in Chicago and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII. He attended St. Ambrose College and graduated with a degree in business. He married Virginia C. Hallick in 1944 and they were married for 64 years. Tony loved sports and was an All-American halfback for St. Ambrose. He coached kids in both football and baseball and loved to play golf. He had a good career with Oscar Mayer as the district sales manager for the Chicago area. Tony is survived by his 5 children, Marianne Smith; Jim (Brenda) Rotunno; John Rotunno; Jane Ciraulo; Tom (Sheryl) Rotunno; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Catherine Kautz; brother, Albert Rotunno; and his son-in-law, Jay Smith. A private graveside service will take place at a late date.
