Anthony Davis, a beloved resident of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on May 16, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born on January 1, 1950, in Louisville to the late John and Mary Davis. He was the youngest of five siblings, and from a young age, he was known for his kind heart and his love of adventure.
Anthony attended Central High School, where he excelled in sports and academics. He was the captain of the football team and also participated in track and field. After graduating from Central High, he attended the University of Kentucky, where he earned a degree in business administration.
After college, Anthony returned to Louisville and began his career as a banker. He worked for several banks throughout his career and was known for his dedication, hard work, and commitment to his clients. He was highly respected in the banking community and was a mentor to many younger bankers.
Anthony was passionate about giving back to his community and regularly volunteered his time and resources to local charities and organizations. He was particularly involved with the Boys and Girls Club and coached several youth sports teams in his spare time.
Anthony was also an avid traveler and loved exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. He visited over 50 countries throughout his life and his favorite trips were to Africa and Asia.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Susan Davis, his two children, Michael and Sarah, and his four grandchildren. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his unwavering kindness, and his devotion to his family and community.
The family will hold a private memorial service in honor of Anthony's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Louisville in his memory.
