His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2023. at Foley & Merrill Memorial Chapel. Bro. Frankie Umphrey and Bro. Kenneth Gillilan will officiate. Casket bearers will be Tim Sims, Charlie Champion, Donnie Knight, Sammy Fox, Frankie Knight, Jason Wilder, Nicolas Green and Stephen Watson. Carmen wished to be laid to rest in the church cemetery he played in as a child. His graveside service will 2 p.m. Friday, March 3. at New Hope Cemetery in Aurora, Alabama, Etowah County. Jason Martin will carry the message. He is survived by his Sons Dustin & Dakota Hill, daughter-in-love Karmon Hill, who he always loved as his own. Grandsons Brody, Bryar, Brewer, Brock, Brady, Brandon Hill and granddaughter Briley Hill. Mother Ann Hamrick and step-dad Eddie Hamrick. sister, Camilla Voelkert, brother, Eddie Cleveland (Phoebe), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to CCU and Palliative and Comfort Care Unit of UAB.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Chester and Odessa Roberson and chosen dad, Larry Hamrick.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Palliative and Comfort Care Unit of UAB in Carmen’s memory.
