Walter John “Jack” Blanchard Sr., 85, of Memphis, TN, passed away on April 7, 2024. Born in New Orleans, LA, on July 1, 1938, Jack led a life characterized by service and dedication, guided by his faith.

Jack honorably served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1959 at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, CO. He later embarked on a career in technology, retiring from IBM as a computer programmer.

Known in his community for organizing blood drives in Scottsdale, AZ, before moving to Memphis in 2017, Jack's commitment to giving back was a testament to his character.

He is survived by his children: Mary Sonnier, Jean Stickney, Cathy Villavaso, Ann Dunbar, Jack Blanchard Jr., Danny Blanchard, Paige Blanchard, and Courtney Blanchard; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his brothers, Zach and Jimmy Blanchard, and his son, Paul Blanchard.

A memorial mass will be held in the Chapel at Incarnation Catholic Church in Collierville, TN on Monday, April 15, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m.
