Verna Faye DanielVerna Faye Daniel of Shreveport, LA was called home on Thursday, May 26, 2017 to walk the streets of gold with our Lord and Savior in Heaven. She was born on August 28, 1943 to Virgil Adam Ebarb and Florence Ebarb Myatt. She was married to her soul mate and the love of her life, David Morris Daniel, on June 11, 1960. Together, they had three beautiful children, Cindy, Bryan, and David. Verna has been a long time member of Summer Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowship with her friends and family of the New Beginnings Sunday School class. What can you say about a woman who changed everyone and everything. Verna never met a stranger. She had this incredible ability to make you feel like the most important, valuable human being ever to walk the earth. To her, you hung the moon. She always "loved you more." A faithful, dedicated wife who was just as in love and committed to her husband David as she was at day one. Always inspiring us to be better people and to do what is right, she loved people the way Jesus does. There was not a moment in life when she was not there for her family and friends. Her unwavering faith in God provided the foundation of her strength, hope, and love that we all depended on for so many years. Verna was the role model everyone should have and the one we were fortunate enough to grow up watching. She had an eye for decorating and made some delicious home cooked meals. Verna had the biggest heart of gold. She was constantly giving to others and made sure everyone was always taken care of. Always filled with joy and love, she truly was a selfless person. The most important thing to Verna was her family. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and great-grands. She was so proud of her husband, kids, and all of their accomplishments. Verna was always uplifting and encouraging to everyone throughout her whole life. She was a very precious gift to us all. Verna was preceded in death by her father Virgil Adam Ebarb, her mother Florence Ebarb Myatt, her brother Virgil "Butch" Ebarb and her son David Wyld Daniel. She is survived by her loving husband David Morris Daniel; twin sister Verda Leone and husband Joe, baby sister Thelma Sandifer and husband DeWayne; children Cindy Gillum and husband Steve, Bryan Daniel and wife Kay, daughter in law Shelly Daniel; eight grandchildren Stephen Gillum and wife Jennifer, Kristin Gillum, Matthew Gillum, Jonathan Daniel and wife Karen, Bryce Daniel and wife Mattie, Cody Daniel, Megan Daniel, and Jessica Daniel; and six great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
