Teresa Marshall-Cosby was educated in the Birmingham City and Bessemer School Systems and graduated from Jess Lanier High School where she was a star player on the volleyball team and highly decorated all-star athlete. She later attended North Alabama College. She confessed to Christ Jesus at Mt. Canaan Full Gospel Church under the leadership of Pastors, Willie B. and Patricia O'Neal. She faithfully served as Church Deacon, was a member of the mass choir, was active in the couple's ministry, was a Christian education department instructor; as well as, a "big sister' to many.  She moved to New Jersey in 1994 and stayed there until 2016 where she became an active member of The Church of the Highlands.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Deo, grandmother, Ira, and son, David.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Alforenzo; children, Antoine (Alice), Portia, and Ashley; grandchildren, Davian, Eliyas, Akaela, Makenzie, MiKaylen, Deleia, Cameron, Zeke, and Taylon; parents, Betty Jean and Jimmy; siblings, Cathy, Jimmy, Pam, Connie, and Larry; ex-husband, Fred and a host of other relatives and friends.
