It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rodney Hammonds, beloved resident of Sylacauga, Alabama. Rodney was born on June 8, 1975, and passed away on March 12, 2026.

Rodney was a dedicated employee at Nemak for many years before retiring in 3. Known for his strong work ethic, Rodney always gave his all in everything he did. Outside of work, Rodney enjoyed spending time outdoors and staying active by working out.

Rodney was a Winterboro High School alum and went on to marry his spouse, Sandra Jones, in year 8. Together, they raised two wonderful children, David and Kimberly. Rodney was a loving parent and grandparent, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

While we mourn Rodney's passing, we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
