Stephen L. DelmotteAGE: 62 • BearStephen L. Delmotte, "Steve", age 62 of Bear, DE passed away on April 26, 2017. He was born on July 11, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Roland C. Delmotte and Beverly C. (Suback) Delmotte.Steve attended Cardinal Gibbons High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He received his bachelor of science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Steve worked as a nuclear engineer in the power industry for more than 30 years, working his way up to vice president.Steve loved sailing, fishing, and gardening, but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. He cherished those special moments.Steve is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet Delmotte; daughters: Sarah and Christina Delmotte; mother, Beverly Delmotte; father, Roland Delmotte; sister, Camille Delmotte (Maria); brothers: Mark Delmotte (Kathleen) and Scott Delmotte (Theresa); and nieces: Kelsey and Makenzie Delmotte.A celebration of Steve's life will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 12:00 noon at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 W. Main Street, Newark DE 19711. A visitation will begin two hours prior at 10:00am where family and friends are welcome to attend. Burial will follow at Sharp's Cemetery.
