It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dawnnie Mcelwee on May 22, 2026, in Dover, Delaware, United States. She was born on September 10, 1974, to Richard and Elena Mcelwee.

Dawnnie leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her five children - Jovan, Jahleel, Jiyon, Jahfiq, and Percy. She also leaves behind two beloved grandchildren.

Dawnnie dedicated her life to helping others as a guidance counselor, making a positive impact on countless lives. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books, spending time at the beach with her sons and grandchildren, and indulging in coffee shop runs and traveling adventures.
