GOULDSheldon R. Sheldon Ray Gould, 89, of Toledo, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Detroit Ave. Sheldon was born on August 23, 1927, in Lakewood to T. Ray and Freda Gould. Sheldon served in Navy Reserves and then enlisted in the Army serving from 1952-1954 and his service continued in the Army Reserves for another six years. He was also a member of American Legion Post #553.Sheldon was a Structural Engineer and worked the majority of his career at Owens Illinois and Hoad Engineering. He had also worked for the American Ship Building Company and Owens Corning. Sheldon was a nature, animal and music lover and treasured the times he could enjoy these loves. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth Gould; children, Scott, Rhonda, Shelly and Robyn. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Gould; sister, Patricia Riley; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great- grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Walter Funeral Home, 4653 Glendale Avenue. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
