In early 80's, Marvin found his soulmate his wife Shirlene Barnes Woods, with whom he shared a bond that was both beautiful and enduring. Together, they created a blended family full of love and laughter. Marvin is lovingly remembered by his devoted children: Demetric Jarman (Letitia), Kitiacia Caffee Woods, Marvin Jarman (Lori), Natashia Jarman-King (Glenn), Dedra Woods, Teresa Barnes, Valerie Jones (Larry), and Alisa Barnes. His legacy continues through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and host of cousins, family and friends each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Marvin's siblings, Melton Woods Jr. (Janet), Michael Woods, Anna Terry (Melvin), Annette Woods, Matthew Woods (Analisa), and Marie Woods, recall him as a guiding light whose advice was always delivered with care and wisdom.
