It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the passing of our beloved Sara Green, affectionately known as "Sunny Sara," on September 4th, 2023. Born on January 11th, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, she lived a vibrant life filled with joy, laughter, and endless love.
Sara's infectious laughter could brighten any room, and her warm heart touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had an extraordinary zest for life, which she carried with her until the very end.
Known for her adventurous spirit, Sara never missed an opportunity to explore new places and immerse herself in different cultures. Whether it was hiking in the Rocky Mountains or dancing the night away in bustling city streets, Sara embraced every moment with an unyielding enthusiasm that was simply unmatched.
Her love for community was incredibly inspiring. Sara was an active volunteer in various local organizations, always lending a helping hand to those in need. Who could forget her incredible talent for organizing unforgettable block parties that brought neighbors together and filled the streets with laughter and joy?
Family always held a special place in Sara's heart. Her home was a sanctuary where loved ones gathered, creating lifelong memories and sharing countless stories around the dinner table. Her love for cooking was second to none, and we will cherish the delicious recipes and laughter-filled family gatherings forever.
Sara's legacy of kindness and compassion lives on in the hearts of her devoted children and grandchildren. Her love will forever be etched in the hearts of her beloved husband, William, who she affectionately called "Billy," her children, Emily and Michael, her grandchildren, Charlotte and Oliver, and her loyal dog and faithful companion, Baxter.
Although our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing that Sara will forever be that bright ray of sunshine amidst the clouds. As we celebrate her life, let us remember her infectious laughter, her unwavering love for all, and her unwavering belief that life is meant to be lived to its fullest.
In honour of Sara, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Sara's favorite charity, Happy Hearts Foundation, dedicated to bringing joy to those in need.
