Ruby peacefully passed away on February 14, 2017. She was born on April 3, 1920, to Harry and Christine Apkarian on a farm on Malaga Avenue. Later she and her mother ran a dairy. She married Charles D. Malkasian on March 21, 1953. Charles was a diversified farmer. Ruby was a loving wife who worked by her husband's side. She was a avid gardener, crocheted beautiful pieces of art and enjoyed preparing Armenian cuisine for her family. Ruby was preceeded in death by her husband Charles on July 20, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Malkasian-Curran; granddaughters April Prado and husband Juan and Amber White and husband Greg; great-granddaughter Blaire White. The family would like to thank her caregivers at Serenity Living II for her care during her final days. A Visitation will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Belmont Memorial Park.
