Montgomery, Alabama mourns the loss of Rosie Reeves, who passed away on March 4, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on May 6, 1964, with a vibrant personality and a compassionate heart, she left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Rosie faced numerous challenges throughout her life but remained a devoted mother to her beloved sons Bradford, Edmond, Demario, and Antonio Reeves. Her enduring wish was for them to realize their full potential, even as she confronted her struggles.

While Rosie rarely expressed her struggles openly, her courage and resilience were evident to those close to her. Her sharp wit and warm spirit were constant companions, comforting those who loved her.  Despite her reserved nature, Rosie's boundless love for her family stood at the core of her being. In addition to her sons, her surviving family includes her brother, James Stephen Floyd, and her sisters, Felicia Renee Floyd, Sarah Diane Floyd, and Katrina Latrice Floyd.

Rosie's legacy is one of love and perseverance, prompting us to live with the same passion and empathy that defined her life. In the words of Ecclesiastes, "For the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it," we trust that she is now at rest.
