Frank "Roger" MathewsMason, MIAge 59, died June 16, 2017 peacefully with his family by his side.  Roger was born on June 27, 1957 in Lansing to Tom Mathews and Maxine (Miller) Hadley. He was proud to belong to the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous for the past 29 months.  Roger loved hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and friends.  His favorite place to camp was at the Cottonwood Campground in Lansing where he won numerous awards in their big bass fishing contests.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his two girls, Kayla and Kimberly.  Whether it was school events, camping, or hunting Roger was the happiest when he was with them.  Roger was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David Frame, Steve Dodds, and Tom Mathews Jr. He is survived by his daughters Kayla and Kimberly Mathews, son Roger Mathews, Jr., his sister Susie (Danny) Reynolds, and brother Michael (Anne) Smyth.  Funeral services honoring Roger's life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the Leslie Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 4-7pm followed by a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.  In Lieu of flowers donation may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined.
