Robert J. Quintana, 76, a longtime resident of Las Vegas, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015, in Las Vegas.He was born on Nov. 30, 1938 to Feliciano Quintana and Petra Gonzales Quintana in Las Vegas.He was a graduate of West Las Vegas High School in 1958 and excelled in football and track. He enjoyed spending time in the mountains.He was preceded in death by his parents, Felix "Chano" and Petra Quintana; brothers, Gilbert Quintana, Louis Leroy "Lulu" Quintana.He is survived by his sons, Gary Quintana, Warren Quintana and Darryld Quintana, all of California; brother, Alfred Freddie Quintana and wife, Judy, of Albuquerque; aunt, Mary Lou Gonzales, of Las Vegas; niece, Dawn Knox of London, England; close friends, Cooper Gonzales, Mike and Eddie Romero, all of Las Vegas.Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Las Vegas with Father Douglas Mitchell as celebrant.
