Mr. Robert Hilary Fugitt, 79, of Leesville passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016. He was born on January 22, 1937, to John Walter Fugitt and Rosemary Margaret Dawson Fugitt in Washington, D.C. Mr. Fugitt was a retired E-8 with the US Army. He was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korea Wars. He lived in Vernon Parish from 1962 until the time of his passing. Mr. Fugitt was of the Episcopal faith and a past member of Polk Memorial; he was a present member of Grace Bible Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 145 and VFW post 3106. Mr. Fugitt loved to fish and fish tournaments. He was the president of the local bass club. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.Mr. Fugitt was preceded in death by his wives, Yong Fugitt and Kazuko Fugitt; parents, Walter Fugitt and Rosemary Margaret Dawson Fugitt; son, Robert H. Fugitt, Jr.; and brother, John Fugitt.Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Julie Roberts and husband, Steve, Mayta Johnson and husband, John, Susan Solley and husband, Jimmy; two step-sons, George Sceets and Robert Sceets and wife, Bonnie; five sisters, Patricia, Lee, Marie, Linda and Barbara; six grandchildren, Kathy, Ashley, Jamie, Christine, Nicolas and James; six great-grandchildren, Miguel, Isabella, Niya, Grayson, Romalee and Harper Hilary.Services will be Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 5-10 p.m. and again on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m until the time of service at Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mr. Robert Fugitt to the Wounded Warriors Memorial, 1120 G Street NW, Suite 700 Washington, DC 20005 or the Louisiana Lifeline for K-9's, P.O.
