Rita Gowan, of Collins, Mississippi, passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 82.
Born on September 7, 1942, Rita was the beloved daughter of Vester and Retha Barnes. She was the loving wife of Reggie Gowan, whom she married in year 35. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Tomeka Gowan (spouse William Keys) and Anissa Gowan (spouse Jerry Skipper).
Rita was a devoted member of her church and found joy in cooking delicious meals for her family. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love.
Rita leaves behind six grandchildren and a legacy of kindness and warmth that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed.
