Red Avery, a beloved resident of Opelika, Alabama, passed away on August 28, 2024, at the age of 69. Born on September 8, 1954, Red was the son of Alphonso and Mary Brooks.
In 1974, Red married his loving wife, Betty Avery, and together they had two children, Kesi Avery and Aisha Avery. Red was also a proud grandfather to three grandchildren.
Red was a graduate of Opelika High School and went on to serve in the Army, where he dedicated his time and service to his country. In his free time, Red enjoyed playing the piano.
Red will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
