IN LOVING MEMORY OF RAYMOND JONES

We gather here today to celebrate the joyous and unforgettable life of Raymond Jones, a true Floridian at heart, who brought sunshine and laughter wherever he went. Raymond was born on March 7, 1980, in the vibrant city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Raymond had a zest for life that was infectious. With his beaming smile and quick wit, he had a remarkable talent for making everyone around him feel like they were the most important person in the room. It seemed like he had an endless supply of hilarious anecdotes and could always find the silver lining in any situation. More importantly Raymond was a loving caring father of two beautiful daughters, Anyia Jones and lydia Jones who we will always hold dear to our hearts.

His love for his community knew no bounds. Whether it was organizing neighborhood block parties or volunteering at the local animal shelter, Raymond was always ready to lend a helping hand and spread joy to those who needed it most. Fort Lauderdale will forever be grateful for the impact he made and the smiles he left in his wake.

Never one to shy away from an adventure, Raymond lived life to the fullest. He embarked on countless road trips, always ready to explore new corners of the country and test his navigational skills. His love for the outdoors was apparent in his passion for fishing and camping, where he would regale his friends with tales of the one that got away, or stories about setting up a tent that ended up being a bit of a "challenge."

Raymond was also an unabashed foodie, always eager to try the latest culinary creations. He became a local legend with his infamous backyard barbecues – a master of the grill and a self-proclaimed sauce connoisseur. His secret recipe, with its mysterious blend of ingredients, will forever remain a mystery as he took it to the grave.

As much as Raymond loved going on adventures, he cherished his time spent with family and friends above all else. He relished in hosting game nights, where he would prove once again that he had the most ridiculous dance moves and the ability to recite the entire script of his favorite movies. His laughter was infectious, filling our lives with happiness that will remain etched in our hearts forever.

On July 9, 2023, as the beautiful Florida sun set on the horizon, Raymond bid us a fond farewell. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we remember him as a shining beacon of light, someone who reminded us to never take life too seriously and to find joy in the simplest of moments.

Raymond, thank you for your unwavering love, infectious laughter, and unforgettable memories. May your spirit continue to brighten our lives, and may you forever rest in peace, always surrounded by the warmth of the sun you cherished so dearly.

Raymond is survived by his two daughters, Anyia Jones and lydia Jones. Six sisters, Simona Jones, Alexia Boatwright, Alizae Boatwright, Shojonae Jones, Annette Jones and lanell Taylor. Four brothers, Alexander Boatwright, Keyan Davis, Deshawn Jones and Quantez Taylor.
