KINGS MILLS, Ohio — Phyllis M. Hutchins, age 81, of Kings Mills, Ohio, died at her home Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014. She was born on March 6, 1932, in Fremont, Ind., the daughter of Clellie and Gladys (Everetts) Smart. They preceded her in death. She married Robert C.L. Hutchins, on Oct. 7, 1950, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1996. Survivors include four children, Douglas (Jackie) Hutchins, Cincinnati, Ohio, Erric Hutchins, of Cincinnati, Deborah Hille, of Cincinnati, and Michelle (Don) Lipka of Mason, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Patsy Michael of Fremont, Dorothy and Charles Hays of Shreveport, La., Nancy Wilcox of Angola, Ind., and Sharon and Rodney Wells of Angola; and two brothers, Clellie and Tootsie Smart of Washington, N.C., and David Smart of Angola. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C.L. Hutchins; her parents; one brother, Larry Smart; and two brothers-in-law, Philip Michael, Paul Wilcox. Calling will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darin Hendrey of the Fremont United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Fremont. Memorials are to St. Judes Children's Hospital or the donor's favorite charity.
