A life well lived

Peggie Myers-Canady, age 75, died on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 peacefully in her home, in the Bronx New York. From her birth in 1943 to her death she nourished people around her with love, faith, and teaching. She was born in Savannah Georgia, the oldest of 7 brothers and 1 sister. By age 5 she knew she wanted to be a teacher. AFter graduating from high school she attended Savannah State University where she obtained her Masters Degree in Education. Peggy then dedicated over 45 years of service in the New York City Department of Education. Peggy was married and gave birth to 6 children of her own. She helped in raising all of her nieces and nephews and leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Peggy will always be known for her kindness and genrosity to all of those who love her.

Details: We will have a memorial with some short memories shared by Family and friends followed by a celebration of life in Peggie's home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you donate money to The South Bronx Educational Foundation
