Pearline Gatling, 95, passed on December 03, 2021. She was born to James Benthall Sr and Bessie Bracy Benthall in Ahoskie, North Carolina on August 02, 1926.

She married Jessie L.Gatling Sr and they lived together in Norfolk, Virginia. Together they raised 2 children .Pearline devoted her life to her family. Her strength is what kept the family together. She was loved by every person who came in her presence. Over the years she battled things that should have destroyed her ,but she stood strong. She was a nonsense type of woman She meant what she said ,and did as she pleased. She had no regrets in her lifetime.

In addition to her parents,Pearline is preceded in death by her husband Jessie L Gatling Sr, a son James Stewart Sr, 2 grandchildren,1 great grandchild,5 brothers, and 4 sisters.

Pearline leaves to cherish her memories her two children, Jessie L Gatling Jr (Jeraldine),Michelle M Gordon (Alonza),a sister JoAnn Langford ,12 grandchildren ,several great- grand children ,great- great grandchildren,nieces,and nephews.
