Paul Edward BrittinghamAGE: 77 • New CastlePaul Edward Brittingham, age 77, of New Castle, DE, passed away at home with his loving wife, Wilma, at his side Sunday, August 13, 2017. Paul was born on August 6, 1940 in Marshallton, DE to the late Sylvester and Elma (Holton) Brittingham. He retired from General Motors in 2000 after 36 years of dedicated service. Paul was an avid bowler and golfer and loved to fish from his Grady White. He was loved by everyone who met him. Paul was always ready with a smile, a joke, or a beer. He would lend a hand to anyone in need, and cherished his many friendships with his bowling buddies and GM family. Paul would want to be remembered for his kindness, fun loving attitude and zest for life!Paul is survived by his precious wife of 51 years, Wilma; dear friend, Joe Kasowski; sisters-in-law, Connie Smith and Barbara Jenkins; goddaughter, Dawn Hutchinson; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. Paul will be remembered as Pop Pop Paul to his "adopted" grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Sonny, Billy, and Phillip Brittingham; sisters: Lorraine Copes, Suellen McCready, Elma Logullo, Nancy Marsey, and Geraldine Fulton.A visitation will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 9:30-11 AM at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Rd., Newark, DE 19702 followed by a service in celebration of Paul's life at 11 AM.
