Olivene Z. Murray, age 85, of Oscoda died on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Saginaw. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Cadillac to the late Clyde and Lillian Strong (nee Wilder). Olivene worked for Ford Motor Company for 15 years in addition to working as a cake decorator for several bakeries. She has lived in Oscoda for nearly 30 years and previous she resided in Milan. Olivene enjoyed baking, painting, crafts, sewing, crocheting, gardening, yard sales and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Emmett Murray of Oscoda; six children, Sherrie (Bill) Clark of Ypsilanti, Eugene (Debbie) Murray of Milan, Marty (Pat) Murray of Milan, Deborah Denhard of Milan, Emmett (Susie) Murray of Oscoda and Mark (Deanna) Murray of Oscoda; brother, R.D. Haynes of Greenbush; 22 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Olivene was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters; her grandson, Mark Murray; and her granddaughter, Shelly Hopgood. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Memorials may be directed to the family and condolences may be offered at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.
