Noe R. BenavidezPERRYSBURG: Noe R. Benavidez, 79, of Perrysburg, passed away at 11:55 p.m., Sunday, October 8, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee.Noe was born on October 21, 1937 to the late Emilio and Petra (Rodriguez) Benavidez. He married Carmen (Briceno) in Perrysburg and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2003.Survivors include his children, Vicente (Diana) Benavidez of Indiana, Isaac Benavidez of Florida, Noe Benavidez Jr. of Lansing, MI, Elisa (Victor) Flores of Clyde, Linda Benavidez of Lansing, MI, Estrellita G. Benavidez of Lansing, MI, John Vasquez of Toledo, Hortencia Vasquez of Toledo, Patricia Vasquez of Toledo, Christina Vasquez of Oregon, Damacio Vasquez of Toledo, Virginia Lopez of Toledo, granddaughter, Selena Benavidez of Perrysburg, a brother, Joe Benavidez of Burgoon, twenty grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.Noe retired from Chrysler where he loaded trucks. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin and enjoyed playing his Bass Guitar.Noe was preceded in death by his parents, wife a son, Anthony Benavidez, and a brother, Bernardo Benavidez.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 13, 2017 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tiffin with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, from 4-7 p.m., with a Rosary being prayed at 3:30 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin. Burial will follow the services on Friday, at the parish cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
