Muriel Leola Boylston Schneider, age 88 years, passed away at her residence in Baton Rouge on December 10, 2016. She was born on September 27, 1928. Daughter of the late Clarence Joseph Boylston, Sr. and the late Leola Edith Danner Boylston Farris, and step-daughter of the late Louis Wilbur "Pops" Farris. Preceded in death by her brother, Clarence Joseph "C.J." Boylston. Beloved and devoted wife of the late Charles William Schneider. She and her husband "Her Honey" shared 62 wonderful years together until his death in 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Belinda S. Boudreaux (Joseph) and Brenda S. Phillpott (James); 6 grandchildren: Bonnie P. Cobb (Jonathan); Jeffrey L. Boudreaux (Ashley); James K. Phillpott; Jennifer L. Boudreaux; Jamie B. Welsh (Kevin); and Kelly R. Phillpott. She was affectionately known as "G.G." (Great-Grandma) by her 5 great-grandchildren: Mason L. Boudreaux, Bailey M. Boudreaux, Ariel R. Boudreaux, Wyatt W. Cobb and Ethan M. Cobb. Aunt of Diana Boylston Clark (Wesley) and the late Donna R. Boylston; also Jackie Schneider, Gwen Peel, Joey Schneider (Tina), Ronnie Schneider (Denise), Joseph Kaufmann III (Lori Beth), Raymond Kaufmann, Stan Schneider (Angel), Mark Schneider, Sr. (Nedra), Mary Beth Ciaccio (Philip), Michael Schneider (Lucia) and the late Scott Schneider. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and lived in New Orleans and Chalmette, LA most of her life until Hurricane Katrina forced her to evacuate to Baton Rouge, LA. She was a graduate of John McDonogh High School Class of 1946 (New Orleans) and remained friends and active participant in the annual Class Reunions consistently for 69 years. Earlier years, she was employed by the Orleans Parish Public School Board. She was a former active member of Claiborne Presbyterian Church (New Orleans), Sunday School Teacher and Elder; Peace Presbyterian Church (New Orleans); and present member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church (Baton Rouge). Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
