Mitchell Miller was 19 years of age and passed away early April 13th. He was nicknamed Mitchie, Mitch, Bubba/bubbor bub, and buddy. Mitchell was an immensely sweet child, and he was the light of our life. He was born in Grand Rapids but grew up in Grattan Township, and attended Belding High School. He grew up in the Miller family, with his older sister, Amanda Miller, younger sister, Alicia Miller, and his parents Scott and Lisa Miller.
Mitchell was a special boy, and he had something called Shpritzen-Goldberg Syndrome. It causes many medical and behavioral problems, but he was a fighter; he wasn't expected to live past approximately a week. But after medical treatment from UofM's Mott's children hospital and a heart surgery he lived until 19. He had lung problems and asthma, scoliosis and a lot of pain. He was also epileptic, which was the suspected cause of his death.
Mitchell was feisty, funny, and a very sweet young man; he loved sports and YouTubers CaptainSparklez, Gento, Sundee and many others. He loved all sorts of music including rock, he loved watching NBA video games, and he loved football and basketball. His favorite team was UofM. He loved swimming with his sisters and playing video games; these things made him very happy in his worst times, and they brought him hope to get by. He was and still is very loved by his family, and he will be immensely missed by those around him; we mourn his unaccomplished potential and the memory of the light inside him, and we mourn losing our little brother, older brother, and son.
Rest in peace, Bubba. You were the best part of our lives and we will always love you and miss you; you're forever in our hearts.
I will always remember Mitchell. He used to sit with my friends and I at lunch and ask about what we were up to and how we were doing. It breaks my heart that such a sweer kind and selfless soul was taken so young you will never be forgotten Mitch. Rest im Piece.
