Michela Ashley "Mikey" Harrod, died unexpectedly at home on October 22, 2016 in Fort Walton Florida.Michela is survived by her son Phillip Ivan Tomov of Boston, MA. and her parents Richard Allen Harrod and Laura G. Harrod of Tallahassee.Michela was born on May 22,1989 in Alachua County, Florida. and was adopted by Allen and Laura Harrod and grew up in Tallahassee. After high school, she attended Tallahassee Community College before to relocating to Okaloosa County where she was a volunteer fire fighter at Florosa Fire Dept. Returning to college in Tallahassee, in 2013, she received her Emergency Medical Technician certification from Tallahassee Community College. Most recently, after returning to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Michela began working at Emerald Shores Pet Hospital Resort & Spaw as a receptionist, a company and position she dearly loved. Michela enjoyed acting at Young Actors, and school plays in her youth. Later, she enjoyed knitting, reading, writing, cooking and classic movies, often re-reading her favorite "Gone With The Wind" as an example of hope, as quoted from the book: "After all, tomorrow is another day".A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 10th at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home on Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL.
