Michael Aaron McGee (Mike) of Whittemore passed away unexpectedly at Bay Medical Center on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the age of 57.Michael is survived by his daughters, Courtney Dixon (age 20) and Ariana Elizabeth (age 13) of Tawas City; brother, Kevin McGee of Saginaw; niece, Bobbie Jo Heitzenreder of Hale; and nephew, J.W. Holingsworth of Saginaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth McGee of National City; and his sister, Lynn Marie Heitzenreder of East Tawas. Michael was born on Jan. 12, 1958 in Saginaw to Robert Greenya McGee and Elizabeth Kathryn Jonitz. He was an accomplished auto body repairman, passionate in his work, and loved deer and turkey hunting. His daughters will cherish the memories of hunting and fishing with him and teasing him for his inability to operate electronics. Other activities he enjoyed included pool, darts, watching NASCAR, and, in his younger days, water skiing.A memorial service is scheduled for April 4 at 11 a.m. (ceremony will begin at noon) at Bible Baptist Church, located 3338 Lupton Rd. Lupton. A reception will follow. Pastor Paul E. Heaton will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michael McGee's life.
