Mattie Lee storms was Born on December 23, 1933, in Greensboro ,Alabama (Hale county ) to the union of Willa Lee & Eddie Copridge ,Mattie was a bundle of joy from the moment she graced this world. Mattie’s family relocated from Greensboro ,Al to convington ,Ky when she was 13yrs old (circa,1947)
Mattie was the loving daughter of Eddie and Willa Storms. She shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship with her husband, Carl, whom she married in 1954. Together, they embarked on an extraordinary adventure, raising five wonderful children - Patricia, Roderick, Regina, Valarie, and Eric.
matties family resided in Covington ,Ky untill the early 1960’s when they moved to Cincinnati OH .Mattie was preceded in death by her parents Willa lee(deed .1997) ,Eddie(deed., 1979),her son Eric (deed.1977), Carl A.storms jr .(deed. 2020)grandson Jason l .herring (deed.2021 viola wizmie (deed.1996 ) and a special friend David Desai (deed. 2011)
Education held a special place in Mattie's heart, as she attended Lincoln Grant High School. Her determination and hard work paid off when she proudly graduated in 1954. With her radiant spirit and compassionate nature, Mattie ventured into the nursing profession, where she touched countless lives with her caring ways. She also dedicated her time and energy to helping others through her involvement with the March of Dimes organization.
While Mattie faced difficult moments along life's journey, her resilience and laughter made the bumps in the road easier for everyone around her. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and her laughter was an unstoppable force that brought joy to young and old alike. Mattie's optimistic outlook on life was infectious, and she had a unique ability to brighten even the dreariest of days.
Truly family-oriented, Mattie cherished the time spent with her children and the memories they created together.she was an avid bingo player ,often traveling on bingo bus trips ,she enjoyed casinos as well as fishing, and gardening Her spirit lives on through her five children and their thriving families, including 9 beautiful grandchildren.
As we honor the remarkable life of Mattie Storms, let us remember her for the laughter, love, and immeasurable joy she brought into our lives. She will forever be missed but never forgotten. May her spirit continue to shine bright as a guiding light for us all.
