Matteeah Washington was born on July 19, 1952 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Edna Washington and Walter Lee Washington.

In the journey of her earthly life, she married Lawrence Teele Sr. and had 6 beautiful children, Kismet Washington, Laura Teele, Lawrence Teele Jr., Lorraine Teele, Mia Teele, Mya Teele.

Matteeah siblings, (The Late) Walter L. Washingston, Dana Washington, Kenya Washington; Her grandchildren, Berrie Vinson Jr., (The Late) Khalio Leigh Teele,Victoria Oga, Mi'saun Teele, August Oga and a host of family members and friends.

She had great tenacity. Matteeah Washington was purely authentic; an undisputed orgin of her generation. She attended Glenville high School with honors. She was a great mother, a social worker, chemical dependancy counselor, a nursing assistant, a licensed pharmacist assistant and many other professions. She defines the word tenacity. Having to have a women of her calibur was a true blessing.
