Mary Lee Carter was born to the late John and Margaret Foster, in an undefined location, and was the eldest of four siblings. From a young age, she exhibited a passion for learning and a deep curiosity about the world. Annie's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in History from an esteemed university.
Her love for history remained with her throughout her life, andMary Lee Carter was known to be a walking encyclopedia of historical events and facts. She delighted in sharing her knowledge with anyone who would lend her an ear, leaving a lasting impression on those who had the privilege of hearing her stories.
Aside from her intellectual pursuits, Annie was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She married her soulmate, Richard Foster, in 1955, in a heartfelt ceremony that marked the beginning of a beautiful lifelong partnership. They were inseparable, embarking on adventures, raising a family of three children, and facing life's challenges hand in hand.
As a mother, Mary Lee Carter was a constant source of wisdom, kindness, and support. Her children, Gina Foster , Tommy Foster have inherited her loving spirit, and they continue to honor her legacy by carrying her values of compassion, empathy, and resilience.
Mary Lee Carter had an unwavering faith and was an active member of her local church community. One of Mary greatest joys in life was her doting role as a grandmother. She adored her six grandchildren, Charnetta , Jamelia ,Olivia, Matthew, Ava, and Jack, showering them with love, laughter, and endless affection. They share cherished memories of Grandma Mary stories, home-baked cookies, and warm embraces.
Mary genuine warmth, incredible sense of humor, and infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around her. She had a unique ability to uplift spirits and bring light into any room she entered. Her charismatic presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her children, Gina Foster and Tommy Foster and their families, her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who considered her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, integrity, and a profound impact on the lives of those she touched.
